Team building activities are a fun way to get employees together. It can take off the pressure and stress of things like short term loans and mortgages. Team bonding is an important part of employee welfare activities.

Here are some good team building ideas…

Shoe mix

Employees should be divided into teams. All of them have to remove their shoes and pile it up in the middle of the room. The piled shoes are mixed with other shoes. After this, each team should come and wear their pair. The team which does this the first wins.

Pictograph

Each team member has to come and pick a chit from a bowl. The chit will not be read out to others. Only the person picking the chit knows what is written in the chit. This person communicates the word in the chit on a drawing board using illustrations.
Each team is given a chance. All the team members get equal chances. The team which scores the most will win. This game gets team members to understand each other better.

Tell a story

Team members stand in a horizontal line. One person utters a word. The other person says another word. The third person says another word which makes sense and gives some direction to form a sentence. Like this each member should say a word to form a sentence and ultimately to tell a story. You can have different versions of this. Science fiction, romance, and thrillers are good subjects for this. The best would be comedy. Not only will it entertain the people saying it, but also people listening to it.

Where to Take a Vacation

Many small business owners fail to take a yearly vacation since the business is their main source of income. They don’t get paid when they are off from work. A small business owner should take at least one vacation a year. A good time to take a vacation is during the month of December, especially during Christmas time. In order to locate the best place to have some rest and relaxation you will need to Google luxury holiday sites. You can take a vacation at the beach, cities, mountains, or plains. Whatever you are looking for, you will surely find some great places.

During Christmas time, you may want to rent a cottage with your loved one or alone. While in your cottage, you can enjoy the warmth of a fireplace while reading a book. If you enjoy the outdoors, go outside and take a short hike to find a Christmas tree. Go sledding with the kids or go into town and purchase supplies, such as cookies for Santa Claus. Take pictures of the animals in the woods.

Depending on where you vacation at, your cottage may have a hot tub. You can relax and clear your mind of all the problems that you were having when you were at home. There is no need to worry about family and business issues while you’re on vacation. It’s a time to focus on yourself and have fun. When it’s time to eat, you can have anything that you want. You may dine in the restaurant or have your meal in your room.

After dinner, go dancing and if you’re single, you may meet your future spouse. You may even want to invite your new partner over to enjoy hot tub with you. You both can talk and get to know one another with a glass of wine.

Passion for Business Growth

You have a successful business and are now considering launching into expansion. There are several ways that you can accomplish this. One way is to open another location or to expand from your location to the internet, or move an internet business into a local business.

The basic principles for any of the above three expansions are fundamentally the same. Create a new business plan for your expansion. Evaluate how the new expansion help or hinder your existing enterprise.  Careful planning will allow your current enterprise to continue profitably as you venture into new areas of growth. Will the new growth expand the existing business? Will you have complementary products or different products? These are all decisions that must be included in your marketing plan.

As you go through the process of growth, do you have the cash reserves to float the new enterprise for the few months to years that new locations take to become solvent? Paying the bank 10% – 24% will take extra time and capital. This could easily be the difference between the new enterprise surviving or folding.

Is the economy favorable to your business model? Some businesses are thriving right now and others have not survived a period of recession. Timing can mean everything to your business. Waiting a few more months might pay big dividends or it might cost you sales momentum.

Are you the type of person who thrives in the thrill of starting new enterprises or do you just think you are supposed to keep building it bigger? Give careful consideration to how you handle risk. If you just think this is the next step, really think about your commitments. Passion is required and without passion businesses fail. Expansion is exciting and exhilarating. With passion and solid planning you have a significantly improved chance of success.
